The oval shaped leaves are light green with a wide band of silver around the leaf. In the areas that are green the small veins are chocolate brown. The leaf surface is sparsely covered with long white hairs. The petioles are densely covered with white hair making this is really an unusual new find. It is fast growing and easy to propagate; it prefers extra humidity so for best results, grow it in a humid greenhouse, garden room or large terrarium.

The foliage is dark forest-green with a ring of mottled light green near the edge and the underside is a beautiful shade of deep red. The delicate pink flowers are very pretty and can appear throughout the year.

Begonias grow best in well-drained, humus-rich soil with moderate water. Apply a slow-release fertilizer sparingly in spring. Beautiful accent plant for borders and containers, or grow as houseplants! Protect from freezing temperatures!

Please note that Begonias are notorious for not posting well, so keep in mind that you may receive a plant with floppy/brown edged leaves. They generally bounce back pretty quickly and will push out fresh leaves once potted up.

(You will receive a bare rooted plant similar to the one seen in the images.)

Each living plant is unique and may vary slightly in size, colour or shape.
