Begonia 'Bashful Bandit' is a bolder begonia than its name might suggest. The stately leaves are large and palmate with many distinct jagged lobes and a toothy margin. They are deep green in colour with a scarlet undersides that sometimes shines through. Over time it will develop a thick rhizome. White flowers appear in winter months on long peduncles that rise above the leaves.

This Begonia prefers bright and indirect light. Some browning of the edges of the leaves can also occur when the humidity is to low, this begonia grows best in higher humidity levels of 45-95%.

Like most begonias this stunner prefers a loose, well-draining soil to ensure adequate air-rating of the roots and ensure its not to stay too wet. To ensure over watering does not occur only water when the top two inches of the potting medium is dry.

Please note that Begonias are notorious for not posting well, so keep in mind that you may receive a plant with floppy/brown edged leaves. This specific Begonia has been known drop leaves after posting. They normally recover quickly and put out new leaves. Please ensure you are confident with this sort of plant prior to purchasing.
