The stunning Calathea ‘Roseopicta Marion’ is loved by collectors for their attractive foliage. They have large oval shaped leaves with a distinctive pattern on the top side of the leaf. Majority of the leaf is a deep shade of green, while the outer edge has a boarder that is a stunning silvery mint colour that gets streaks of pink. The mid-vein and underside of each leaves is a bright magenta with featuring of the same silvery mint colouring blending into the deep green creating a stunning contrast.

Calatheas are a genus of plants that are often commonly referred to as 'prayer plants' because at night these plants fold their leaves upwards, resembling praying hands. Prayer plants can also move their leaves regularly throughout the day. They'll position their leaves to receive an ideal amount of light.

Being a Calathea this plant naturally helps purify the air, not only is this plant beautiful to look at but it’s also helping clean the air you breathe! These plants are perfect for indoor displays, patios and garden beds.

☀️This plant requires bright, indirect light but harsh direct sunlight needs to be avoided as this can scorch the leaves.

💧Calatheas like their soil to be kept evenly moist and it’s best not to let them completely dry out in between waterings as the leaves can start to droop.

〰️These plants don’t require higher levels of humidity, however if you see the leaf edges begin to dry and brown it can be that the ambient humidity is too low. You will generally start to see signs of this at the tips of the leaves. This isn't detrimental to the plant's health, but can look unsightly. You can increase humidity in your home by misting, grouping plants close together or sitting pot plants on a saucer filled with pebbles and water.

🌡️Like most popular houseplants, calatheas prefer temperatures in the 18°C-30°C which is similar to their tropical native habitat.

🍴It’s best to feed regularly during the warmer months and reduce frequency in winter. Alternatively, use a controlled release fertiliser at the beginning of spring and autumn.

✂️Remove dying or browning leaves and stems as required. Otherwise, there is no need to prune. These plants are propagated very easily by dividing clumps manually.

🪴Calatheas prefers a well-draining potting mix. Using a mix of orchid bark, sphagnum moss, and perlite works well.

(Each living plant is unique and may vary slightly in size, colour, or shape depending on the season. Flowering plants are sent when available. You will receive a bare rooted plant similar to the ones in the pictures provided.)
