Peperomia ‘Red Edge’ is one of the best beginner friendly plants you can get, loved for its low maintenance, thrives on neglect attitude. They have thick, glossy, spoon green leaves framed by vibrant red margins. Due to this plants hardy nature they can grow in a variety of places, perfect for indoors, shaded patio or even accent planting in tropical gardens.

☀️This plant requires bright, indirect light but harsh direct sunlight needs to be avoided as this can scorch the leaves.

💧Peperomia like their soil to be kept evenly moist and it’s best not to let them completely dry out in between waterings as the leaves can start to droop.

〰️These plants don’t require higher levels of humidity, however if you see the leaf edges begin to dry and brown it can be that the ambient humidity is too low. You will generally start to see signs of this at the tips of the leaves. This isn't detrimental to the plant's health, but can look unsightly. You can increase humidity in your home by misting, grouping plants close together or sitting pot plants on a saucer filled with pebbles and water.

🌡️Like most popular houseplants, peperomia prefer temperatures in the 18°C-30°C which is similar to their tropical native habitat.

🍴It’s best to feed regularly during the warmer months and reduce frequency in winter. Alternatively, use a controlled release fertiliser at the beginning of spring and autumn.

✂️ Remove dying or browning leaves and stems as required. Otherwise, there is no need to prune. They propagate from stem cuttings very easily. Just snip below a node and place in a seedling soil mix. Keep the soil damp and position in a nice warm spot until roots grow. This plant is made for propagating given its growth rate!

🪴Peperomia prefers a well-draining potting mix. Using a standard chunky aroid mix is perfect for these guys.

(Each living plant is unique and may vary slightly in size, colour, or shape depending on the season. Flowering plants are sent when available. You will receive a bare rooted plant similar to the ones in the pictures provided.)
