Anthurium ferrierense crisped NEW
Anthurium ferrierense 'Crisped' is a unique cultivar of Anthurium ferrierense. This striking plant is distinguished by its stunning undulating foliage. This plant deserves a special place in every houseplant collection as it adds a brilliant splash of difference. It’s also easy to care for, having very similar needs to other houseplants and making it an easy addition. This tropical beauty belongs to the Anthurium genus, which falls under the very large Araceae or Arum plant family.
☀️ These large leafy Anthuriums favour plenty of bright, indirect light.
💧Due to its tropical roots, these Anthuriums adore moist soil. However, it should never sit in soggy, water-logged soil, as it can cause root rot and cause yellowing in the foliage.
〰️ These plants do require higher levels of humidity, leaf edges may dry and begin to brown if the ambient humidity is too low. You will generally start to see signs of this at the tips of the leaves. This isn't detrimental to the plant's health, but can look unsightly. You can increase humidity in your home by misting, grouping plants close together or sitting pot plants on a saucer filled with pebbles and water.
🌡️ Like most popular houseplants, Anthuriums prefer temperatures between 18°C-30°C which is similar to their tropical native habitat.
🍴 It’s best to feed regularly during the warmer months and reduce frequency in winter. Alternatively, use a controlled release fertiliser at the beginning of spring and autumn.
✂️ Remove dying or browning leaves and stems as required. Otherwise, there is no need to prune. This Anthurium is clumping variety and it will readily produce off sets that can be propagated very easily by simple via root division.
🪴Potting medium should be well draining, while keeping it moist, airy, and light.
(You will receive a bare rooted plant, similar to the ones seen in the images. Each living plant is unique and may vary slightly in size, colour or shape.)
